THE FALL FASHION EVENT IN TEXAS – PART I

Better known as Houston’s Rodeo Drive – River Oaks District the outdoor luxury brands shopping complex hosted its 3rd Annual Fashion X River Oaks District.  The premier “fashion week” in Houston took place from Thursday 4th until Saturday 6th and was officially inaugurated by founder Matt Swinney who received an enthusiastic ovation from the audience during his inaugural speech.  This year, designers delivered trendy lines that will define this fall season style. First Class Magazine was part of this important annual event, and we are bringing you the first details.

THE PRIVATE PARTY

Guests had access to the private prior event party organized to celebrate with designers, editors, influences and special guests with Moët and a wonderful group of vendors at ROD-VIP Lounge;  It was clear that inclusion was a tendency this year.

RUNWAY FIRST CALL

Around eight o’clock we receive the first call. The runway is ready!. Guests, editors, and influencers directed to their assigned places, and then lights turn on announcing Fashion X ROD just started.  During this first-night international brands including Akris, Alice + Olivia, Canali, Eres, Etro, Kiton, Roberto Cavalli and Stella McCartney, shared its proposals.

AKRIS  The Swiss fashion house proposes a relaxed and polished collection that combines dresses in silk crêpe with malachite print, coats in wool polyester with marble tiles jacquard and seam pockets with blue metallic boots. One of the favorite looks of the night was an oversized short tunic dress in cashmere with long sleeves and metallic back boots, definitely a collection to illuminate the personality of a bohemian chic woman.

 

ALICE+OLIVIA  That was a complete collection with day to day looks but also every age and every occasion girls out outfits.  The New York City-based house proposes retro chic with shiny disco looks, combined with skinny or bell pants with Victorian blouses. It’s the kind of collection that you can’t have only one piece.

 

CANALI  An exclusive collection for the man who illuminates the city.  Introduced to press and buyers during Milan Fashion week in January, the fall-winter collection’s palette transitions between nuances of blue, Bordeaux and green in expressions of chiaroscuro that make themselves known only to the most attentive eye. Shapes and lines evoke modern urban architecture from the rounded 1920s-inspired silhouettes of the suits to ultralight blazers.

 

ERES Thinking on vacations here you have a colorful and sexy collection from a luxurious lingerie brand.

 

ETRO  Inspired by the intricate art deco tapestries, the enameled jewelry boxes and the color blocking of Italian postmodern architecture. This collection exists in a cosmic prairie dreamworld unlocked only by Etro’s bohemian wonder.
