JULIANNE MOORE CO-DESIGN CHOPARD’S
NEW COLOURED GEMSTONE: THE PARAIBA TOURMALINE
During the Cannes Film Festival 2018. Academy Award winning actress Julianne Moore wore a black Saint Laurent gown, with a new Chopard necklace from the Green Carpet Collection featuring the first responsibly sourced Paraiba tourmaline ever, weighing more than 34 carats set with heart-shaped diamonds (43 carats) from suppliers certified by the RJC set in 18ct white Fairmined gold. Co-designed by Julianne Moore and Chopard Co-President and Artistic Director, Caroline Scheufele, the necklace is a milestone piece for the Maison as it further demonstrates Chopard’s commitment to its Journey to Sustainable Luxury. Additionally, as part of this journey, as of July 2018, 100% ethically sourced gold will be used for Chopard timepieces and jewellery. The Academy Award winning Actress completed her look with a ring in 18ct white gold set with an oval brilliant-cut diamond (10.10 carats) and pave diamonds and a ring in 18ct white gold featuring a pear-shaped diamond (10.02 carats) and pave diamonds, both from the High Jewellery Collection.
