A Regal Masterpiece

HARRY WINSTON’S SEVILLA NECKLACE

In the realm of high jewelry, few names command as much reverence as Harry Winston, a house synonymous with opulence, legacy, and exceptional craftsmanship. Among its most dazzling creations stands the Sevilla Necklace, a stunning tribute to artistry, heritage, and the spirit of Spanish grandeur.

Inspired by the rich cultural tapestry and Moorish architecture of Seville, Spain, the piece captures the intricate beauty of Andalusian motifs through an ornate arrangement of diamonds, sapphires, and platinum filigree.  At the heart of the necklace is a striking central diamond, surrounded by cascades of meticulously set stones that mirror the delicate geometry found in traditional Spanish tilework. The interplay between soft curves and sharp angles evokes the arches and latticework of Seville’s historic Alcázar Palace, transforming the necklace into a wearable monument to the city’s legacy.

But the Sevilla Necklace is not just about visual splendor; it represents the Harry Winston ethos of celebrating rare gems through thoughtful, architectural design. Each stone is hand-selected and precisely set to maximize brilliance and movement, ensuring the piece dazzles from every angle.

Elegant yet commanding, the Sevilla Necklace is more than just a jewel—it is a statement of timeless sophistication and cultural homage. Whether gracing a red carpet or preserved in a private collection, this masterpiece reaffirms why Harry Winston remains the "King of Diamonds" and a master of storytelling through gems.

First Class Magazine - Louis Vuitton Tokyo Exhibition Wade Guyton Thirteen Paintings 2025

The Exhibition

About

Wade Guyton’s Thirteen Paintings

UNVEILED AT ESPACE LOUIS VUITTON TOKYO

From October 30, 2024, to March 16, 2025, the Espace Louis Vuitton Tokyo presents a compelling new exhibition: Thirteen Paintings by acclaimed American artist Wade Guyton. Known for pushing the boundaries between digital technology and traditional painting, Guyton continues to redefine what it means to make art in the 21st century.

This latest body of work features thirteen large-scale inkjet-on-canvas pieces, each exploring themes of repetition, error, and the aesthetics of machine-made marks. Using a standard Epson printer and digital files as his “brush,” Guyton creates compositions that are at once minimal, expressive, and conceptually layered. Smudges, streaks, and misalignments, often considered flaws—become central to the visual language of the series.

Displayed in the sleek, light-filled galleries of Espace Louis Vuitton Tokyo, Thirteen Paintings highlights the tension between control and chance, technology and touch. The exhibition is part of the Fondation Louis Vuitton’s “Hors-les-murs” program, which brings contemporary works from its collection to satellite venues around the world. For fans of conceptual and contemporary art, Thirteen Paintings offers a rare opportunity to experience Guyton’s work in Asia, underscoring his continued relevance in a digital age where the act of creation itself is constantly evolving.

About

Holidays 2025 at The Dunlin

A LOWCOUNTRY RIVER RETREAT ON JOHNS ISLAND

This holiday season, The Dunlin, the highly anticipated luxury retreat on Johns Island in the Charleston area—invites guests to slow down and celebrate in true Lowcountry style. Named the No. 1 Resort in South Carolina in Travel + Leisure’s 2025 World’s Best Awards, The Dunlin offers a serene, design‑driven escape for families, couples, and travelers seeking a riverside holiday full of warmth and wonder.

Picture your festive season wrapped in moss-draped oaks, pastel marshland horizons, and the gentle lull of the Kiawah River swelling in tide.

A Cottage‑By‑The-River Holiday

Opening in August 2024, The Dunlin introduces 72 cottage-style guest rooms and suites, with interiors by Amanda Lindroth that evoke vintage Lowcountry charm, whitewashed walls, honey oak floors, mint-green accents, and generous porches overlooking marsh vistas. During the holidays, those porches become ideal nooks for morning coffee wrapped in a cozy shawl or an evening glass of wine under a Carolina sky.

Celebratory Dining & Festive Flavors

No holiday stays at The Dunlin would be complete without indulging in its culinary offerings. At Linnette’s, expect a menu that roots itself in the soul of Lowcountry fare—wood-fired seafood, seasonal produce from nearby farms, along with heritage coastal dishes reinvented with finesse.  Adjacent, the Willet Room provides a relaxed riverside lounge experience; a perfect setting for a post‑dinner digestif, a shared bite, or simply quiet conversation. For sunlit afternoons, The Cove offers poolside dining with breezy coastal touches and surprise delights like snow cones or pop‑up oyster shuckers.

During holidays, guests may partake in riverside oyster roasts, farm dinners beneath the stars, and seasonal gatherings that bring the property’s close ties to its natural surroundings to the fore.

Exploring the Lowcountry & Seasonal Wonders

The Dunlin is more than a resort, it’s a gateway into the rhythms of the marsh and river life. With 20 miles of waterfront and rich marshland ecosystems, holiday guests can embark on coastal safaris to spot dolphins and herons, paddle the estuary at dawn, or join guided kayak excursions to hidden tidal creeks.

On land, nature trails framed by live oaks and palmettos invite quiet walks or rides through the surrounding Kiawah River landscape. For families, farmstead activities, from collecting eggs to interacting with local livestock, offer an intimate, seasonal connection to southern agrarian traditions.

Holiday retreats here can also include wellness pauses: Aster Spa offers botanical and honey‑derived treatments, seasonal workshops (think “Poetry in the Garden” or “Breathing for Beauty”), and in‑room or poolside rituals tailored to recharge the body and spirit.

Why The Dunlin is a Holiday Contender

In less than its first year, The Dunlin has already earned distinction: ranked No. 1 Resort in South Carolina by Travel + Leisure’s 2025 World’s Best Awards. Holy City Sinner Its design-forward aesthetic, seamless integration with the land, and deeply local spirit make it a compelling holiday choice for travelers seeking serenity, and authenticity, over spectacle.

For 2025, imagine your holiday not just as a getaway, but as a slow, breathing pause: morning marsh reflections, candlelit dinners, whispered laughter in the library, a warm soak under a canopy of stars. At The Dunlin, the holiday season becomes less about escape, and more about reawakening.

Afternoon Tea at Linnette’s Ushers in the Auberge Holiday Fête

BRITISH ELEGANCE WITH MRS. ALICE

This holiday season, The Dunlin, Auberge Resorts Collection on South Carolina’s Johns Island invites guests to celebrate the spirit of the season with a truly elegant twist. As part of the resort’s Auberge Holiday Fête, The Dunlin has debuted its first-ever Festive Afternoon Tea Service at Linnette’s, a collaboration that blends Southern warmth with British refinement, curated by none other than Alice Naylor-Leyland, founder of the beloved lifestyle brand Mrs. Alice.

Renowned for her whimsical yet elevated take on table setting and entertaining, Naylor-Leyland brings her signature charm to The Dunlin’s riverside setting. The result is a holiday tea experience that’s equal parts tradition, indulgence, and visual

poetry.

An Afternoon of Enchantment

Served in the beautifully appointed Linnette’s dining room, the tea service channels the softness and splendor of a Southern holiday, layered with Mrs. Alice’s quintessential English sensibility. Think tiered silver trays of seasonal pastries, finger sandwiches, house-made scones with clotted cream and preserves, and a curated selection of fine teas, all presented on exquisitely styled tables adorned with Mrs. Alice’s signature festive décor.

From pecan praline tartlets to buttermilk biscuits with honey butter, the menu nods to Lowcountry flavors while embracing the classic structure of a high tea. Custom teapots, vintage-inspired place settings, and lush floral centerpieces elevate the experience into something both nostalgic and new.

PIAGET ROSE

– A TRUE FLOWER, A UNIQUE STORY -

Since the 1960s, Piaget has been weaving nature into high jewellery with poetic grace — and no symbol has bloomed more beautifully under its craftsmanship than the rose. More than a motif, the Piaget Rose is a tribute to a real flower: a delicate bloom named in honour of Yves Piaget’s lifelong passion for roses.

Awarded at the Geneva International New Rose Competition in 1982, the Yves Piaget Rose — a flamboyant pink rose with 80 layers of petals — became the muse for an entire collection. From high jewellery to fine watches, the Piaget Rose Collection transforms nature’s fleeting beauty into timeless luxury.

Each creation captures the spirit of the flower in a uniquely Piaget way — bold, elegant, and full of life. Sculpted in gold or shimmering with diamonds, the rose petals seem to dance with light, evoking both romance and strength. It’s a flower that never fades, symbolising enduring passion and refined femininity.

In the world of Piaget, the rose is not just a blossom. It is a story — of heritage, inspiration, and the eternal allure of nature reimagined through Swiss savoir-faire.

The Piaget Rose: more than jewellery, it’s a garden of memories, blooming forever.

Ralph Lauren to Open
‘The Polo Bar Ralph Lauren’

Y’ALL, GET READY FOR LONDON’S MOST STYLISH RESERVATION

Calling all Texans with a taste for timeless elegance and a passport ready for stamping  London’s about to get a whole lot more Ralph. Big news dropped this week: Ralph Lauren (NYSE: RL) has officially announced the upcoming opening of its next signature hospitality destination, The Polo Bar Ralph Lauren in London, and we couldn’t be more excited. Opening in 2028 at the historic 1 Hanover Square, this isn’t just another restaurant. It’s set to be an experience in pure sophistication, old-world charm, and Texan-approved hospitality, with a British accent.

From NYC to LDN with Love (and Leather Banquettes)

If you’ve dined at the original Polo Bar in New York, you already know the vibe: rich woods, hunter green walls, equestrian paintings, polished brass, and the feeling that you’ve just been invited into Ralph’s private club. The food? Elevated American classics with an indulgent twist; think prime rib, corned beef sandwiches, and the world’s most handsome martini.

Now, London will get its own taste of this refined American dining experience, all steeped in Ralph Lauren’s deep appreciation for British heritage and timeless style. Texans who love riding boots, Harris tweed, and high tea with a bourbon chaser, this is your kind of place.

Ralph’s Royal Ties Run Deep

This isn’t Ralph Lauren’s first royal rodeo in the UK. In fact, he’s had a love affair with British culture for decades. Back in 1981, the designer opened his first international flagship on London’s Bond Street. By 2019, he was knighted with the honorary title of Knight Commander of the Most Excellent Order of the British Empire, yes, Sir Ralph, if you please, recognizing his contributions to fashion and philanthropy.

He’s also the Official Outfitter of Wimbledon (because, of course), and his Centre for Breast Cancer Research at The Royal Marsden has been instrumental in advancing care and treatment.

The new Polo Bar will be more than just a meal; it will be a celebration of that rich, transatlantic legacy.

So, Why Should Texans Book Early?

Because this is not your average dinner reservation. It’s a chance to sip a Scotch in a room that feels like it belongs in a Ralph Lauren editorial, surrounded by antiques, leather, tartan, and the hush of elegance that only Ralph can deliver. It’s the kind of place where boots and blazers go together effortlessly, and every cocktail feels like a toast to tradition.

With Texans’ growing love for luxury travel, culinary discovery, and all things classic with a twist, this is the London address you’ll want to know in 2028.

Get Your Travel List Ready

Whether you're already planning that European getaway or thinking ahead for a milestone trip, put The Polo Bar Ralph Lauren London at the top of your list. And if you need an excuse to return? How about:

The Wellness Retreat

ESCAPE TO AMANEMU, JAPAN’S HIDDEN WELLNESS HAVEN

If you’re craving a holiday where time seems to slow and every moment is shaped by serenity, Amanemu in Japan may just be the perfect refuge. Perched on the shores of Ago Bay within Ise‑Shima National Park, this Aman resort is a masterclass in understated luxury and elemental beauty.

Where & Setting

Amanemu is located in Mie Prefecture, Honshū, overlooking the tranquil “Bay of Pearls”a name earned by centuries of cultured pearl farming in the waters below. The resort’s 24 suites and four two‑bedroom‑villas are scattered over gently rolling terrain, blending traditional ryokan architecture with modern Aman minimalism. Think dark cedar exteriors, blonde woods, woven textile shutters, and expansive terraces that frame views of the sea or forest.  Each suite (99 square meters) includes its own private plunge bath (onsen), and the villas are considerably larger, ideal for couples or small families seeking more space and privacy.

The Well‑Being Ritual: Onsen & Spa

The heart of Amanemu is its spa and bathing culture. The property maintains full access to natural hot springs that feed not only the public baths and spa pools, but also the onsens in every room. The Aman Spa is roughly 2,000 square metres, offering multiple outdoor onsens, two private “kashikiri” onsen pavilions, hydrotherapy suites, a watsu pool, yoga & Pilates spaces, and treatment rooms where traditional Japanese and herbal healing techniques are interwoven.

Bathing here is more than relaxation, it’s ritual. Steam and mineral-rich water, framed by nature, move you into a meditative state. Whether soaking at dusk with views over Ago Bay, or slipping into your private onsen after a day of walking or exploring, the experience restores both body and mind.

Experiences & Local Culture

Amanemu isn’t isolated from its surroundings—it draws deeply on the local landscape, food, and traditions to offer immersive experiences:

  • Ama Divers: Meet the legendary female freedivers of Ago Bay who hunt for abalone, scallops, sea snails, and take part in pearl farming—a living tradition thousands of years old.

  • Sacred Sites: The Ise Grand Shrine (Ise Jingū), one of the most revered Shinto shrines in Japan, is within reach. Walking pilgrimage routes, quiet shrine grounds, and village visits give a sense of history that’s both tranquil and humbling.

  • Food as Story: The restaurant draws from local produce and seafood, celebrating the seasonal bounty of the region. The “Food of the Gods” experience, for example, blends shrine visits, artisan tastings (seaweed, bonito, etc.), and fresh coastal fare. T

  • Outdoor Wellness: When you need movement, there are hiking and cycling paths, coastline views to wander, forested trails, plus time on your terrace gazing out at Ago Bay or watching boats drift past.

Best Time to Visit & Tips
  • Seasons: Spring (March–May) for cherry blossoms and mild weather; autumn (September–November) for fall colours and comfortable temperatures. Winter offers solitude but can be crisp.

  • Length of Stay: 2–3 nights is perfect to unwind and soak in the resort experience, though longer stays let you explore the surrounding culture more deeply.

  • Getting There: The nearest bigger hub is Nagoya. From there, you can travel by train (scenic), or arrange private transfer or helicopter rides. Aman can help with logistics.

Why Amanemu Stands Out

What makes Amanemu exceptional isn’t merely its luxury—but how the luxury is orchestrated. It is subtle, respectful of place, and designed to dissolve the usual boundaries between guest and nature. The architecture enables views, light, and seasons; the rituals (onsen, food, sacred sites) calibrate you to rhythms older than urban life; the details—from the private onsens to whispers of traditional craft—anchor you in culture without overwhelming you.

If you seek a wellness extraordinary experience that doesn’t demand much of you except presence, reflection, and sensory rest, Amanemu may not just be a destination,it could refresh how you travel.
